Donald Clifton, educational psychologist and former CEO of the Gallup organization, once asked "What would happen if we studied what is right with people?" What Mr Clifton and many other psychologists have realised is that psychology as a science is in need of a more balanced view of human beings. Simply put, more theories and research on positive constructs such as subjective well-being and happiness are welcome. Accordingly, I have decided to name my web page Positive.se in order to contribute to this timely development. Being happy is as important as being right. |
